Enthusiasm Is The Key

EEnthusiasm is the mother of effortnthusiasm is the key to life, not happiness, joy or even love. I am being very precise with my words. Love is what is, happiness is the feeling, and so Is joy. But enthusiasm is the key to life, life is movement, growth and contribution. Enthusiasm is Love in motion, or action. Enthusiasm, is the flow of life, the vibration you emit, and as you know is infectious?

Think about how enthusiastic you where as a child for Christmas. The surprises that where coming to you. How enthusiastic are you about life now? Surprises happen all the time, but we have dulled down our lives so much, that the only surprises we get are bills, Mu ha ha.

Lets drop that shit. Lets start expecting good things to happen.The-real-secret-of-success__quotes-by-Walter-Chrysler-27

Think about if you were getting a new car, how excited you are looking at all the different models. You create that.

Think about when you meet someone you fancy, thinking about what may come of the interaction. You create that feeling.

Can you feel in these two examples of how your thought energy is looking forward to what may happen?

How often do you use that thought energy, to look forward to what bad may happen?

In both cases you will never know what will happen, it will always bthe-key-to-success-is-not-through-achievement-but-through-enthusiasm-quote-1e a surprise, and you’re the one who creates the expectations. !!!!

How often do you kill your enthusiasm, with a misuse of your imagination?

We either dis-empower ourselves, or empower ourselves, with our imagination / thoughts.

We use questions to create our future. What can go wrong with this, or what could we do that would be awesome, which question would bring you more happiness, / enthusiasm?

What would happen if you started asking how much fun, could I have, in work today? Who could I have fun with? What could I do that would be interesting. instead of the usual drone of misery?

enthusiasm is the key to successsNow for the deep psychology stuff. What do you really want in life. We actually want to feel terrific, awesome, and full of enthusiasm, for every day. How often do you ask yourself this question? Am I happy doing what I’m doing? If not ask a more effective question? What would fill me full of enthusiasm every day? And we can ask an even more effective question, what ways can I do what fills me full of enthusiasm, and make loads of money.

This is not materialistic. What do they say about enthusiasm? “it’s infectious” so it is your responsibility to be full of enthusiasm, because you will literally be making the world, around you, a happier place? And having money just allows you to amplify that.

Its simple you want an Epic Life and what ever that is is up to you but you create it by the use of your imagination and to direct that you ask yourself effective questions.  winston churchill

So what fills you full of enthusiasm? and if you don’t know, then ask a more effective question.

Have an awesome day.

Re-evaluating my goals.

My plan to speak at pendulum summit got derailed, for the past few months.

I set an audacious goal, and didn’t really know what I was getting myself in for.

Challenge-Accepted-2f2xs0v

Just like all goals, plan A didn’t work also plan b, c,d, and e. But now finally after trailing and fail-learning and a bit of de-motivation, I am getting the picture back of what I wanted 9 months ago.

I can see myself speaking on stage and the energy in the place being off the charts. I know the type of energy I want, because I’ve was a DJ, and I know when a place is electric. 3 or 4 thousand people, with a real drive, to be the best that they can be. Just even saying this pumps me up.

thinkbigger

I got derailed like every one, my goal was going to take a lot more effort than I thought. But that is the mark of a real goal. Something that will grow you. I had all the pieces but had no idea how long and how to put them together.

My naive assumption at the start of the year was, I’d put out a bunch of videos and get traction, and that was it. Haha. So funny now. Totally delusional. But again that is the mark of a true goal.

So, I’ve melted my own head over, and over, just like every entrepreneur, and it didn’t seem as much fun, as it originally did. It started feeling like it was going to be a lot of hard work.

Hard work

My plan originally was to do a bit of online marketing, and get a job with Pendulum Summit doing marketing, network with all the top people, and develop an opportunity that way.

What has come about, is I’ve had to start a media company, to build my own brand, which still doesn’t exist. So I’ve had to do a lot of study, and growing, than originally planned.

I started a meet up group,(The Epic Life Group) because I needed experience as an actual speaker. Yea that’s how delusional, this goal was. I fucking love it. Totally nuts.

Because I got disillusioned by the scale of things, my energy started to go, and I realized, I had a lot less time, than I originally thought. I was aiming to have all my stuff together at the end of the year, and I’d get a place to speak. But thanks to DJ and Journalist, Mark Kavanagh, I realized I had a lot less time. I actually had to get my shit together months in advance, because that is when they would finalize the lineup. Yea as I said I was delusional. Haha

Time

So through setting up the Meet-up group, that became much more interesting, and of much more value, than speaking at pendulum summit. I was getting in a small way, what I was aiming for in speaking at Pendulum.

Goo enemy.png

I said to myself, sure if I just build this group to thousands of people, I wont need pendulum.

So I carried on with that vision for a few months and had to think about growing the group, so I started reading lots of books, and marketing stuff, primarily @garyvee and today I realized, that I was struggling with my marketing message.

I realized that I had no direction, for what I was doing, I lost my north star. My vision had evaporated.

I was reading this stuff to grow the group, but to what end. It was vague and mushy.

Lost vision

Over the past few months, I had felt this vagueness, but I had no idea what it was. I went from being proactive, to just reading stuff that seemed like being productive, but it wasn’t leading anywhere.

I am reminded again, and again, that we have to have a north star, a destination, a goal because, that puts what we are doing, now, in context, and gives what we are doing, now, purpose.

north-star-filter

I was proactively lost.

I can even see it in the epic life group, I had lost that drive to grow, by being vague, and the group, I feel, could feel that too. Every bit of content I was putting out was great, but it lacked that bit of drive, and conviction, that direction. What we are all doing this for. We want epic lives, that is why, we are here, and that energy, was faltering.

doepicshit

I understand on a whole new level, the purpose of goals, so much more now. Goals are not to be attained, but they are there as tools to help you grow.

The goal itself is irrelevant, the journey is the most important thing. It is who you become as a result of your journey, that is most important. But! the goal gives you direction.

This goal has gone from being something fun, to something much more serious, it is now become a mark of my growth, as a man, a person, as a person who can make a difference, to his own life, and as a result the people around him.

The goal has gone from being a selfish one, to one that I hope will empower others.

Get over myself

I know now, that I am mad late, on speaking at pendulum, but miracles happen every day.

I am re-energized, and clear again on what I want to do, and why. We all go through these processes. If you are to take one thing away from this, is just keep going, keep moving forward, and things will become clear eventually.

Clear Vision Clear Reults

If  I had have stopped, I would not have a second chance now, and I gave myself that second chance.

Second chances

My energy and clarity is back.

I see myself in the Dublin Exhibition Center speaking to 3 thousand people, and bringing them on a journey that empowers the fuck out of them. I see the place going nuts, for themselves, because they will see how far, they have come, through my story.

20160108_184609

If I can be so delusional, and keep going, so can anyone. I can tell you now, I am 100% a better person for all the effort I have put in. Win, loose, or draw I have grown, and that is the real purpose of goals.

Feel awesome2

I can not go back to who I was, and one way or another, I am going to have better things because of this.

I look forward to meeting you on our Epic Journey’s

The most important thing, you could ever do!

Setting your mentality for the day.

Imagine waking up, and the first thing you notice, is how tired you still feel. Like that 8 hours of sleep, has just been a waste of time. You have just fucked up your sleep and you already feel like a looser.

In bed tired.

I have done this way too much. Starting off my days in completely the most dis-empowering way possible.

I’m sure you have heard, what I am about to say already, and it’s probably made sense to you.

What I want to ask you, is why haven’t you done it? I want you to ask yourself, why you haven’t done it?

why

I don’t feel like it, it’s too hard when I’m tired, I don’t think of it. whatever your complaints are I’ve used them. I have gotten into looser mode first thing.

What it boiled down to for me is, I didn’t put me, as high enough priority in my life. I was a whinger and a moaner.

51spHovQygL

I was going with the flow, wake up, and see what happens. No direction.

I knew all the right stuff, but wasn’t doing it, because, I just didn’t feel like it.

e6511e0dd7b4a8c6217e4eccd6f74bbc

I’d try it for a bit, and then let just let old ways win out.

Now, I want you to imagine, what it would be like, to feel awesome every day, grateful every day, and excited to see what happens?

All good things are the opposite side of effort. Even in the smallest way. You have to get up off your bum, to get an ice-cream from the fridge.

This is so important I’ll say it twice, “all good things are the opposite side of effort”.

So how can you expect to have a good day, if you don’t put any effort into it?

Hope is the most destructive thing, on this planet!

Hope gets you nothing! Effort gets you something!

What would happen if you put energy into your day? If you said, thank you, for a bed to lye, thank you, for the house that keeps me out of the wind. Be grateful for what ever you want.

Feel Awesome

Then you start creating how you want your day to go. I am going to meet this person and have an awesome time no matter what. We are going to have fun. I’m going to enjoy the drive to work today. What ever you want, you can choose how you want to feel about it.

Feel awesome2

Imagine taking charge of yourself and your day!! How awesome would that be? I can I willImagine putting effort into how much fun your life is going to be, just because you decided to?

Take 1 minute now and do this. Say with a smile on your face, feel silly and put real energy into it. I feel fantastic, I feel fantastic, I feel fantastic, the rest of today is going to be awesome! just pay attention to how you feel, now?
Drive that energy now, this is literally the most important thing, you could do for your, whole life,    Feel_Awesome-606x230 right now. Take full charge, and have an awesome day! Choose to feel better, choose to have fun, choose to feel awesome, now! you are in charge!

It’s your choice!

What fear really is.

Fear.Fear

FEAR

FEAR!

Fear is a tricky thing to deal with. But once examined it becomes nothing more than a thought that passes in the night.

What is fear? Fear as a term is too abstract, to intangible to be able to put anything Fear is the mind killersolid on it, to figure a way around. If you had a road block you figure out another direction. But with fear its nebulous thing that actually pops up in your way whichever way you turn.

The word fear makes us believe it’s a thing like a chair but it’s not. It is a made up word to represent the result of something not the actual cause. By looking at the result all the time you are blinded to the cause.

I now see fear on a spectrum. One end you see the word fear and on the other end you see the word trust.

Let’s take an example. People have a fear of flying, but what is that. How many people a year die from flying? fear-of-flyingNot many in the grand scheme of things. Where did that fear come from? Planes are only around the past 100 years. Did someone invent it? That sounds mad that someone would invent it, but the really mad thing is that it was invented. Somebody had to come up with a medical term for it. Aviophobia is the term. Who came up with that and who was the first person diagnosed with it what was it called before it was Aviophobia?

Why are people afraid of flying and not of cookers? More people each year die from cooker related stuff. The mad thing is people are often afraid of planes and have never been on one. Yet everyone has used a cooker, been burnt, not once but many times, and you are 100% guaranteed to get burnt again. So what’s the difference?

Why do you get scared when you go to the cinema and see a scary movie? You know walking in that it’s fake, it’s not real, but you get carried away and get scared anyway? Why is that? It’s because we have imaginations. We can imagine ourselves in that position and how we would feel if something was going wrong. Is that situation real? Why do we get a real response? Because in our minds reality and fantasy are no different.

So what is happening when people have a fear of flying? Are they simply just imagining themselves in a compromised position? Are they fantasizing about something going wrong?

Being-Awesome-takes-practiceHow would they feel if they started imagining everything being awesome? Would that start to make them feel good?

Either way they are playing a story in their head, that is dis-empowering them, or empowering them but it is just a story!

Just to be clear what is a story? A story is something that is made up or imaginary and can be changed at any time. If someone decided to do some hypnotism on a poor unfortunate victim would he be able to make that person afraid of cookers? How does he do that? How he does that is by implanting a story in that persons head that cookers are dangerous.

Where are fears? Fears are always in the future they may be seconds away but none the less they are in the future.

Dark alleySo what happens when we walk down a dark alley at night, and we start to get scared? What is happening there? Are we imagining a good future or a bad one, based on what evidence? All we have is a dark alley? And we heard that someone some time somewhere got mugged? But are you in danger? Or are you imagining it?

Hopefully you’re seeing a pattern now fears are imaginary and a story that we are telling ourselves.

So why are they so dis-empowering? Because we believe them! It’s really that simple.

So let’s flip the whole thing let’s stop looking at fears altogether, and start looking at people who are fearless.

Fear of heightsWe have all seen people who are not afraid of heights, why is that? Quite often they are people who have worked on ladders or done rock climbing or something to that effect? So why are they fearless? Is it because they are familiar with heights? To a large degree yes but that is still looking at the result not the cause. They know it’s dangerous yet they still do it. The fear doesn’t seem to exist?
Let’s go back to the alley. Would a person who has a black belt in some martial art, be as afraid as you or I, walking through that alley? Probably not. Why is that? Would you say this person has more confidence? What is confidence? Confidence is self-trust. That black belt trusts himself and his skills to keep him safe, so in that situation he actually won’t even think about any danger until something presented itself.

Like the people who are not afraid of heights they trust themselves they trust that Self Trustthey are going to be safe because experience tells them that. This is the true cause of fear. People do not trust themselves or life because of the stories they tell themselves.

It is the same with you, and a cooker. You have enough trust in yourself, that you will be ok. You may get burned, but you will deal with that when it happens. The danger is there but I trust myself that I will be able to deal with it when it arises. So there is no point in thinking about it now.

So what is fear really fear is really an external representation of your own lack of self-trust? So what’s the solution? Its simple learn to trust yourself look at all the times you have overcome some issue or another. How many dangerous roads have you crossed with no incident what so ever. Look at how much you have survived already. The evidence is overwhelming that you’re going to be alright. So why do I still feel fearful? Basically because the news fills you full of fear full stories and your friends tell you about how they do not trust themselves and fill us full of their fears. So you have to practice every time you feel bad, laugh and say gees I got caught up in that story. If you put your effort into all the things your already good at you will trust yourself more and more.

So what is the result of trust? Success isSelf trust is the first secret to success. the result of trust. Can you think of any wealthy happy or powerful person who doesn’t trust themselves? They all believe in themselves that is the only thing they do differently.

So go to places and do things that build your self-trust push your capabilities don’t face your fears don’t even bother with them. Tell yourself the story that you want and play it over and over. If you’re afraid of heights stand Visualize yourself being perfectly comfortable in that situation then go stand on high things until you completely trust yourself in those situations.I Love Me

Where is fear when you’re visualizing an empowering story? It simply doesn’t exist.

Would trusting yourself be loving yourself?

Setting Goals The Right Way!

What you want is who you want to become.

But it’s very important you set this up right.

Too many people set goals for themselves that actually work against them. I want to be Being rich is a state of mind.rich by September 11th 2015. This goals is driven by pain. I don’t have enough money now, so I want to be rich. You can almost feel the reaction, it’s like a pull back from a hot stove. It is vague, even if this person made a million, what is rich? What people want is feelings I want to be happy, that is what this person is really saying. Which is driven by, I’m not happy, I have too many bills to pay.

When we start to listen to our words, and listen to the deeper meanings of them, we start to see how we have been working against ourselves. Do you think that this person who wants to be rich is motivating himself by saying I want to be rich, I want to be rich, I want to be rich? Or is he beating himself up by saying I’m poor, I’m poor, I’m poor. Can you see this pattern in people you know?

What about people who want to be successful?

Or Skinny

Or lose weight

What are these people really saying to themselves?

The funniest of them all is “I have to be more positive”, “I have to be more positive”. What is this really saying? does it feel good, does it feel positive?

How many people do you know who are tortured by what they are saying to themselves? Are you one of these people?Torturing yourself

Let’s break the cycle of pain. Let’s go from being reactive to proactive.

What can you do now, to improve your wealth?

What can you do now, to improve your health?

What can you do now, to improve your fitness?

What can you do now, to improve your attitude?

How do these statements make you feel? Do you feel empowered? Why is that? Is it because these questions assume you can do something?

Can you feel the difference in how the language makes you feel?

What would happen if you only focused on what you can improve? Would you make more progress easily? Would it be more rewarding? Would you feel better about yourself? would you be working with yourself instead of against?

Let’s set an effective health goal.

The old way would have been. I want to lose weight by September 30th… so I have to starve myself until then. Does this feel nice? does this motivate you? Or are you like me and feeling tightness in your chest at the thoughts of it.

Now the effective way.

What do you really want in life? Do you want to be skinny? So people will accept you so that you will like yourself? Will people like you if your sick miserable and unhealthy? Will you like yourself, if you are sick miserable and unhealthy? But your skinny right? 😉Skinny and unhealthy

Or do you want to be the best you, you can be? Full of energy enthusiasm, vitality and light. That loves life, themselves, and everyone around them, because they feel so good every day?

Which sounds better to you?

What can you do now to move towards that goal? I hope you’re not saying stop eating shit food? Does that feel good to you? No? Does it feel like your criticizing yourself? Well then it’s not supporting you. What would happen if you said I can eat more veg today? How does that statement feel to you? Is it better? is it focused on what will actually make you healthy?

What would happen if you completely ignored the negative stuff and just started eating Great foodgreat food and exercising? What would happen if you just started being nice to yourself and supporting yourself?

Do you want to become a person who loves them self fully and feels amazing all the time.

I think that is a pretty awesome goal.

Can you start moving towards that now?

Health starts in the mind.

Healthy Brain

Healthy BrainThe Health starts in the mind model, is the complete model of health? It is a process not a band-aid. We do not focus on getting healthy for a specific date, we focus one developing a LIFE full of vitality and enthusiasm.

Like everything in life, you have to think about it, before you get it. Health is no different. You have to think about what you want for yourself, and how you want to feel, so you can then put in place the steps, to get it.

To many people have no direction in life, and are just bouncing from one pain to another, I have to pay my bills, so I have to get a job, I hate my job because it’s not what I like,  I decided to do it because I had to pay bills. So to get out of that pain loop people take drugs like sugar, sugar-needlechocolate, caffeine, and alcohol. which rob even more energy from your life. So then they end up doing the bare minimum, to get by. Which is just existing. Who would want to put effort into that sort of life?

We want to get people focused on having Fucking Awesome lives. Lives where each day has meaning and a purpose. When you have meaning and purpose you want to make that happen more and more. You quickly realise you want more energy, to work better, and do better.

However most people are focused on the wrong things. They want to be skinny, they don’t have enough money, they have to get up early to go to a job they hate. Pain, pain, pain, demotivate, demotivate, demotivate.

When you are focused on the right things, like having a great life, you create energy. I’m getting healthier and healthier every day. I’m growing my finances every day. I love what I do, so I’m getting up earlier to do it. Energy and enthusiasm starts to flow when you start focusing on the right things. You do not need will power to make them happen because you want to do them.focus

Can you now see how changing your focus creates the direction you want to go. Then gradually day by day, you will start moving towards your ideal life. Rather than focusing on what you don’t have now. Start empowering yourself with what you are doing now, or can do now. Can you think about the life you want to start building now? The way you want to start feeling now? How would thinking about what you’re going to build, make you feel now? Would it motivate you to eat better and do better?

Health starts in the mind. What you focus on grows, if you focus on the wrong thing you will get more of it. If you focus on the right things, you get more of it.

Listen to these two statements, say them out loud, and think about how they make you feel.

  1. I want to be healthy? What is that really saying? Is it building you up or tearing you down? Is it a criticism? Is it actually saying “I’m not healthy”? I have to get healthy because I’m a mess?Socrates
  2. How does this one sound “I’m getting healthier”? It automatically assumes your healthy (you’re not dead I hope?) you have to have some level of health to be able to read this post. So does it build on where you’re at? does that statement value you, and the efforts you have put in before now? Does it see you as completely capable of being a fully vibrant person? Does it build your confidence, energy and enthusiasm? I’m getting healthier is a true statement because your body and you are always working to be better.

So how we talk to ourselves (thoughts) create our reality. Once you set them up right everything flows from there.

How are you going to start thinking (talking) about yourself? Are you going to start building yourself up, or tearing yourself down now?

The switch to turning on the most awesome life ever is in your mind. You have all the power in the world to make whatever awesome life you want to happen, happen.We_Are_Limitless

I hope you are as excited as I am with the limitless possibilities that are out there.

When you think great, you feel great, then you do great

Enjoy.

Gaining Clarity is the most important step.

Work Ethic

clarity The most important thing in life is a direction. When we have a direction, we see the progress we are making, and we feel successful.

The hardest thing you will ever do is define the direction you want to go in.

Most people are reacting to what they do not want. They do not want to be poor, so they work to get away from that pain. Most people do not want to be sick, so they do the bare minimum so that they do not get sick. That again is the pain controlling the direction they are moving in.

I am talking about making a shift from pain to pleasure. What would happen if you decided to start feeling awesome? How would your thinking change what sort of questions would you ask yourself? What sort of conversations would you be having with your friends?

I want the FUCKING best of everything!!!! Why because I’m alive and that is all you need to deserve the best. You exist so there for you can have everything!! I want to leave this earth in a screaming blaze of glory! I do not want to be sitting in a hospital bed shitting my self with regrets.

apologies about the language but this has to be hammered you-deserve-the-best-home. You deserve the best, the best health, the best life, the best business, the best of everything. For no other reason than your alive.

Got it? Good.

But what is the best? The best is different for every one and gaining clarity on what we really want is quite difficult. I was lucky when I was twenty I got to see a superstar dj, and I decided that this was what I wanted to do. But when I hit 30 my values changed, and I did not want to dj any more.

The second time around I did not have any direction, I was lost frustrated, and going around in circles. I got depressed and sick, relay sick. I had to do something different, so I started doing courses in stuff I was vaguely interested in, just to start ticking off boxes. just so i could break the cycle. Gradually bit by bit my interests got defined, but I still had no direction I was still just trying out stuff. I was still lost.

It took me 7 years to finally start honing in on what I wanted to do. But ultimately what it came down to was a few questions I asked myself.

  1. Who do I respect? This could be any one, parent, business people, famous people, it doesn’t matter you respect them for a reason.

Mine are Rob Dyrdek, Richard Branson, and Arnold     Schwarzenegger.

This question gets you thinking about who you want to become. In a general sense.

  1. Why do you like them?Rob Dyrdek Fun and Business

Rob, has fun with everything he does. He is highly creative, a entrepreneur and he is a bit mad.

Richard, has a global Richard Branson Adventurebrand that is based in respect and value. He has great fun trying new things, and goes on adventures.

Arnold, his work Work Ethicethic, focus amazed me, also his fitness levels and body.

This question gets you thinking about what values you have. What you respect, and you will start finding a common thread between them all.  It will get you out of your limitations into a more limitless way of thinking.

  1. How can you add value to these people knowing what you know now?

This gives you ideas on where your path may be. If you write out one idea for each person then you can find the common thread between the three and that is the direction you want to go most.

It may not be the exact thing but it will be really really close.

  1. Finally. What one step can I take now, to move me closer to that goal, or gain me greater clarity?

Once you get clarity you get direction once you get direction you get energy. What a friend of mine says. Where your attention goes, your energy flows, and results show.clarity_display

Let me know how you get on, maybe we can refine it further.

As always best of luck.

When you think great, you eat great, then you feel great!

Think Great, Eat Great, Feel Great!

The title to this post says it all, in the most simple way.

You have a choice in life and only one choice in life. All other things are results of this one choice.

You can choose to look at the dark side, or choose to look at the light.

If you choose to focus on what you don’t want. I don’t want to be fat, tired, stressed, or any number of other ailments. How does that make you feel? Fat tired and stressed? Frustrated for definite. Did your energy go up or down as you read out those statements?

energy_healing_boostWhat would happen if you chose to focus on what you ACTUALLY want? Happiness, Joy, enthusiasm, energy, vitality, health? How does even reading these words make you feel? I’m sure it’s more energized.

We are in a river, a river that is running in the direction we do not want to go. All the people around us talk about what they don’t, want what they don’t like, what they hate, what frustrates them! They are going with the flow. They do not know what they want, so there is no direction in life. When you have no direction, you’re lost! At the mercy of the world around you. If somebody says something, you have no comparison to gauge if it’s right, for you, or not. You have no way of telling if it can get you closer to happiness, or not. Everything then becomes frustrating, everything becomes a problem, they then become dis-empowered and lose hope.  Doom and gloom.

We are about to make a decision to only talk about what we want, because it energizes us, it gives us a direction, a course through all the challenges in life, that make us stronger swimmers. It gives us a tool to be able to decide if something is worthwhile or not. If you have a goal of getting fit. Then you know instantly what you have to do to get it. (More exercise) if you have no goal, and you have to work hard, what is the point in wasting energy on this pointless thing, there is no reason, no purpose, just frustration. By having a direction you can evaluate that this is going to pay off in the long run. Then it becomes worthwhile, so we are glad to do it.

This is why the greats are so great. They see what they want and all things in the way are worthwhile, because it is getting them closer to their goals.

If you have a strong mind, everything else falls into placHealth starts in the mind.e. If you have a clear focus, your body knows what it has to do to get you where you need to go. Your mind is the captain of the ship. You are the captain of your destiny.

Think Great, Eat Great, Feel Great!

What do you choose today?

Expanded goals
visualizing big goals stretches your current reality just like an inflated balloon will never return back to its original state.

I see goals like balloons. When you stretch your imagination and then deflate back to reality, just like a balloon it will never be quite the same shape again.

When we dream and push the boundaries of our understanding, we are at the exact same time stretching our perceptions of our current reality.

1. The BIG down.

Years ago now, I was lucky enough to have a daydream, that stretched my imagination. I dreamt what it would be like to win the lotto and have $120,000,000.

I initially dreamt of travelling and partying in all the coolest places in the world, with all the best toys. Then I realised that I’d soon get bored of that. Once you have a Ferrari you kinda loose the desire to have a Ferrari, you move on to the next thing.Dream Big

I started thinking beyond just having nice things and socialising, to what would actually be fun or be of value to the world.

I could give my money away. But that is only a short term solution.

How could I make an actual difference to the world? How could I make the world a better place?

Global warming was a big news then. I thought how could I put my money to good use, and help save the planet. There is no bigger goal than that right?

I quickly realised that $120,000,000 wasn’t going to cut it. I needed more!!! I realised that I could invest it. Get a nice return and grow my fund. I could use a bit of the gains to buy up rainforest systematically (or used up land and replant) and that would start the trees sucking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. Year on year I’d buy more land and after a generation or two I’d be able to put the world right.images (1)

Then reality kicked in. I was broke in a new country and struggling to survive. But this idea never left me.

Because my mentality had been expanded, to investing in companies, and saving the world. Something had changed in me. I realised that I could actually do it. The only challenge was to get $120,000,000

I had set my big goal but there was no way to get there. No path not even the remotest idea of where to begin.

But in that challenge the answer was there. Where do I begin?

2.The small up.Goals-big-and-small

I was immensely lucky, the job I had at the time was a 9 to 6 or 7 sales job. Which I hated. Not because of the job, it was just the fact I had to be somewhere between 9 and 6 every day. No freedom. (I actually work way more hours now)

In that challenge I knew I had to get a better job. But one that got me lots more money and freedom.

My first small goal was set. I want better, because here is not what I want.

I hope you’re seeing a bit of a pattern here. There are top down goals and bottom up goals. And somewhere in the middle they meet.

The big goals direct the small goals, and the small goals are always only one step beyond where you currently are.

My small goals where literally I want better, I better start looking around for something better.

Over the coming weeks I will be expanding on goal setting and getting into the specific’s, emotions, visualizing a attraction.

Please let me know what you would do with $120,000,000?images

Enjoy.
